به جرات میتوان گفت روش اسکلروتراپی به نسبت روشهای دیگر روشی بی خطر ،آسان و سریع و با نتایج فوق العاده چشمگیر بوده که حتی از نظر هزینه ها نیز نسبتا بر روشهای دیگر ارجحیت دارد.

در این روش با استفاده از مواد اسکلروزان که با استفاده از سوزنهای فوق العاده نازک در درون مویرگها و عروق صورت میگیرد عروق بعد از یک تا چند هفته فیبروزه و خشک میشودمعنولا در هشاد درصد از موارد با تزریق در یک جلسه به آنچه هدفمان بوده است میرسیم ولی گاهی نیاز به تکرار تزریق دو یا چهار هفته بعد از انجام تزریق اولیه میشود.نتیجه کار تقریبا دائمی است و عوارض جانبی نادر،سبک و موقتی میباشد.

توضیحا اینکه از بین بردن این عروق مشکلی ایجاد نمیکند چون کلا کاربردی نداشته و وظیفه خونرسانی اصلی را ندارند و اصطلاحا مرده رگ میباشند.
