The cause of tarsal tunnel syndrome

How is tarsal tunnel syndrome treated?
Many people can relieve the symptoms of tarsal tunnel syndrome with home remedies:
- **leg rest**; You should not be active for a few days or weeks to allow for healing and prevent further damage.
- **ice compress**; Use an ice compress several times a day for 20 minutes each time.
Using ice reduces swelling and pain.
- **Closing the leg and placing it in height**; You can use a brace and, if possible, keep your leg above the level of the heart to reduce inflammation.
- **non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs**; Taking these drugs as prescribed by the doctor reduces pain and inflammation.

Is surgery needed to treat tarsal tunnel syndrome?

There is no sure way to prevent this disease, however, some tips can help prevent it:
