The cause of back pain, prevention, cause, treatment Why does my back hurt? Every day we get headaches for various reasons, one of the most common of which is back pain.... In this article, we discuss all the causes of this disorder and ways to treat it, so stay with us until the end of the article... ### ### What is the cause of back pain? Headache can be the main cause of pain alone or it can be a secondary symptom of disorders in another part of the body.. The cause of headache is not always clear and their location is also different.. This article deals with 5 of the most common causes of back pain, which are: - Tension back pain - Migraine - Back pain caused by overuse of drugs - Occipital or occipital neuralgia - Headache caused by exercise In addition, symptoms, possible treatments and prevention methods will also be described. 1- Tension headaches Tension headaches are the most common cause of back pain.... These headaches can last up to 7 days or as short as 30 minutes. Symptoms of tension headaches include: - Feeling of pressure in the back or front of the head - Mild to moderate and sometimes even severe pain - Pain that does not get worse with exercise.... - No nausea and vomiting ### Treatment of tension back pain When these headaches occur frequently, alternative treatments such as the following can help reduce the duration and frequency of pain... Treatment options include: - Relaxation techniques - Treatment with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) - Massage - Physiotherapy - Acupuncture ### Factors causing tension back pain and prevention The cause of tension back pain is currently unknown, but several factors are potential triggers, such as: - Stress - Fatigue - Insomnia - Not eating - Improper posture - Arthritis or arthritis - Sinus pain - Not drinking enough water For prevention, it is enough to remove the factors that cause this type of headache... 2- Migraine Migraine is a common type of recurrent headache that often begins in childhood and increases in number with age.. Migraines can occur several times a week in adulthood, especially in women aged 35 to 45. Common symptoms of migraine include: - Severe and throbbing pain in one part of the head - Nausea and vomiting - visual impairment - Increased sensitivity to light, sound and smell - Sensitivity to touch in muscles and skin sensitivity - Continuity of pain from a few hours to a few days - Headache worse with physical activity Sometimes before the onset of migraine pain, a person experiences aura or sensory visual disturbances such as flashes of light or other visual disturbances. ### factors that trigger migraine pain Migraines can be caused by a variety of factors specific to the individual... these factors can be emotional, physical, environmental, dietary or drug related and include the following: - Anxiety, stress and depression - Very bright and flashing lights, loud noises, strong scents - Food shortage - Insufficient sleep - Certain types of foods such as cheese, chocolate and caffeine - hormonal changes - contraceptive pills ### Migraine causes and treatment Migraines are thought to be caused by inflammatory factors that stimulate pain sensors in the blood vessels and nerves of the head. Migraines can be relieved by taking pain relievers such as aspirin and acetaminophen and resting in a dark room. If regular pain relievers don't work, your doctor may prescribe anti-migraine medications (also known as triptans).... Scientists believe that these drugs cause blood vessels to shrink and shrink, which in turn reverses the changes that cause migraines. The earlier the migraine attack is treated, the more effective the medicine is. ### Migraine prevention There are steps people can take to reduce their risk of migraines. These actions include the following: - Use of drugs used in epilepsy, depression and high blood pressure - Stress management, exercise, relaxation and physiotherapy - Remembering and avoiding a person's specific factors, including certain foods that trigger migraine headaches. - Hormone therapy 3- Headache caused by drug overdose If a person overuses pain relievers to relieve other types of headaches, they may suffer from back pain due to overuse of medications. Headaches caused by overuse of drugs are also known as recurrent headaches. Occasional use of pain relievers does not cause any problems... However, when pain relievers are used more than 2 or 3 times a week for long periods of time to relieve back pain, frequent headaches or overdose may occur. The main symptoms of these headaches include the following: - Persistence of pain, for about a day - Pain worse when waking up - Pain in the back of the head after stopping the use of painkillers #### Other problems associated with back pain include: - Nausea - Anxiety - Excitability (bad behavior) - lack of energy - Physical weakness - Difficulty concentrating - memory loss - Depression ### Migraine treatment Usually the best treatment for back pain caused by drug overdose is to stop taking all pain relievers.... The headache is worse at first but disappears quickly... Then you can use regular pain relievers. In more severe cases, a person should see a doctor.. Physiotherapy and behavioral therapy may be needed to break the cycle of using painkillers. For some drugs, such as narcotics, since it is dangerous to stop taking them all at once, the doctor should gradually reduce the dose of the drug. ### Migraine prevention To prevent back pain caused by excessive use of medication, a person should avoid taking painkillers more than a few times a week to relieve back pain.... If the headaches that require painkillers are persistent and frequent, they should seek help from a doctor. 4- occipital neuralgia Coccipital neuralgia is a specific headache that starts at the base of the neck and spreads to the back of the head and behind the ears. This type of back pain is related to the damage and irritability of the occipital nerves that extend from the back of the neck to the base of the skull. This damage or irritability can be caused by underlying diseases, neck strain or other unknown factors. Pain from occipital neuralgia can be severe.... Other symptoms include: - Having throbbing and continuous pain or accompanied by burning - Intermittent shocks or momentary acute pains (shooting) - The pain is often on one side of the head and can be triggered by moving the neck. - sensitivity to touch in the skull - sensitivity to light ### Diagnosis of pain in the back of the head Occipital neuralgia Due to the similarity of the symptoms, neuralgia in the back of the head can follow a migraine or another type of back pain... A criterion for diagnosing this pain in the back of the head is that it occurs when pressure is applied to the back of the neck and skull. Sometimes the doctor may diagnose occipital neuralgia by injecting a local anesthetic to cut the occipital nerves... In this way, if the person gets rid of pain after the injection, it is clear that he is suffering from occipital neuralgia. Since occipital neuralgia may be a symptom of another disorder, the doctor may also investigate the presence of other underlying factors. ### back pain factors in occipital neuralgia Known possible factors include: - damage to the spine or the discs between them - Osteoarthritis (inflammation of joints and bones) - tumors - Gout - nerve damage caused by diabetes - inflammation of blood vessels - infection ### Back pain treatment in occipital neuralgia The use of heat packs, rest, massage, physical therapy and the use of anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin or naproxen can help reduce the level of pain.. Various types of heat packs are available online. If the person's pain is severe, oral muscle relaxants or nerve blockers (anesthetics) may be needed. For very severe pain, local anesthesia or steroid injections are used. In some rare cases, surgery may be needed to relieve pressure on nerves or block pain messages in this part of the body. ### 5- Pain in the back caused by exercise Exercise headaches are associated with vigorous physical activity.... These headaches begin suddenly and immediately after exercise and rapidly worsen. A wide range of activities (from lifting weights or running to having sex and straining on the toilet) can cause this back pain. ### symptoms of back pain Symptoms of this headache include throbbing pain on both sides of the head that can last from 5 minutes to 2 hours.... In these headaches, the occurrence of one usually does not affect the other, but it may also cause migraine-like symptoms. ### Factors and prevention of back pain with exercise The cause of these headaches is unknown.... These headaches usually only occur for a period of 3 to 6 months.... Methods to prevent the recurrence of these headaches are: Consumption of analgesics before exercise - avoidance of intense activities - Hot well - Drink enough fluids - Eating healthy foods - enough sleep Treatment includes the use of common pain relievers for back pain such as aspirin and acetaminophen. Finally, if someone suffers from severe headaches, they are not alone....About 50% of adults worldwide experience at least one back pain every year....Back pain can be painful and crippling when it occurs. Headaches are very common and many are self-limiting headaches... although some can have serious causes... anyone concerned about back pain should see a doctor and get medical advice. ### Neck problems and arthritis Involvement of the neck and its organs leads to headache, and even in cases such as vascular dissection or rupture of vessels (carotid artery or vertebral artery), the patient first experiences neck pain and then headache, which leads to a stroke, so neck pain is dangerous, among the common cases that can be mentioned for this issue, especially in headache, arthritis, which leads to headache in old age... headache both in the back and front of the head... that the patient wakes up The head area experiences pain and becomes less active during the day... Although morning headaches are severe and the patient wakes up because of a headache, it is a different situation and these headaches may be dangerous and related to the formation of a brain tumor, so if your morning headache is such that you wake up as soon as possible, do the necessary treatment.. Considered... The following article is about these patients and recent research related to them. ### Recommendations for quick back pain treatment In order to be able to control your back pain and reduce your pain until you see a doctor, you can follow these recommendations. 1- Keep your head warm. 2- Try to rest and keep your head still 3- Taking painkillers temporarily helps to find the real cause of headache 4- Drink a lot of fluids ### Is back pain dangerous?
