Rotavirus is a highly contagious virus that affects the gastrointestinal tract of infants and young children, causing severe diarrhea, vomiting, and dehydration. The virus is spreading worldwide, putting millions of children at risk of hospitalization or death. **Rotavirus epidemic in children** Rotavirus is a type of double-stranded RNA virus of the Reoviridae family, which is the most common cause of rotavirus disease, diarrhea in infants and young children.... Almost every child in the world is infected with rotavirus at least once by the age of five.... With each infection, the body develops immunity, so subsequent infections are more severe symptoms of this virus.... Rotavirus As mentioned, this virus is one of the most common causes of acute diarrhea in children. This virus belongs to the family of rotaviruses and affects the walls of the intestine. Transmission of this virus is often through direct contact with infected feces or through airborne particles. Symptoms of rotavirus include diarrhea, vomiting, fever, fever with a percentage of nausea in patients with rotavirus. Diarrhea is usually severe, watery, and frequent. It may easily deplete electrolytes and body fluids, which in severe cases can lead to kidney failure and a decrease in blood volume... Patients may also suffer from pain... in different stages and include the following: - **Diarrhea:** Diarrhea is usually severe and watery and can occur up to 9-10 times a day.... The stool may be colored, not bloody and have a bad smell.... - **Vomiting:** Vomiting may appear before diarrhea and cause the body to produce more fluids.... - **Fever:** In most cases, an increase in body temperature (fever) is one of the first symptoms of rotavirus virus.. Fever may be severe and It is persistent and in some cases it is a sign of systemic infection... It causes increased vomiting and loss of water and fluids in the body... - **Fatigue and weakness:** In some cases, patients may feel general weakness due to severe loss of fluids and may be due to severe lack of fluids... Proper nutrition... - **Decreased appetite:** Infection with rotavirus virus can lead to decreased appetite.... Patients may be less interested in eating and feel uncomfortable while consuming food... - **Respiratory symptoms:** In some cases, rotavirus infection can also be accompanied by respiratory symptoms, such as cough, nasal congestion, severe sneezing, congestion, sneezing... In some people, especially babies and children... It is important to remember that not all people with rotavirus have all these symptoms... Also observe personal hygiene, wash hands With soap and water and preventing the transmission of the virus to others through direct contact with infected feces are important measures to control the spread of rotavirus in children. Rotavirus infection causes more severe symptoms, especially in children. Below I describe the symptoms of rotavirus in children: - **Severe diarrhea:** Diarrhea in children infected with rotavirus is usually severe and watery.... The stool may be secreted several times a day and may be associated with the risk of water and electrolytes getting close to the child's body.... - **Vomiting:** Vomiting may appear before diarrhea ** and can further reduce nutrition in the child's body.. In cases of rotavirus infection, it is accompanied by fever.. Fever may be severe and for a long time To be continued... - **Dry mouth and lips:** Children with rotavirus usually experience dry mouth and lips... Increase their sleeping hours.... - **Physical tests:** Children with rotavirus may have dry eyes, dull and pale skin, dry lips and loss of body fluids... Rotavirus symptoms in children may be more severe and infection lasts longer in adults.. Infection Rotavirus is less common in adults than children.. but in some cases it may occur and cause symptoms.. Below are the symptoms of rotavirus in adults: 1.... **Diarrhea:** Diarrhea is usually severe and watery and may occur up to 9-10 times a day.... Stools may be colored and smelly.... 2.... **Vomiting:** Vomiting may occur before diarrhea and cause the body to produce more fluids.... 3.... **Fever:** High fever may be associated with infection.. Duration.... 4.... **Abdominal pain:** Adults may complain of abdominal pain, which can be caused by intestinal inflammation or stomach acid secretion.... This pain may be concentrated in the lower abdomen.... 5... **Nausea and vomiting:** Adults may experience nausea and vomiting which may cause dehydration... 6..., **Feeling weak and fatigued in adulthood. Generally weak.. and lack of proper nutrition... 7... **Loss of appetite:** Rotavirus infection may lead to loss of appetite and discomfort in food consumption... It should be remembered that the symptoms of rotavirus in adults may be different and in some cases the infection disappears without any specific symptoms... In case of any of these symptoms, it is better to go to the doctor for a correct diagnosis and wash the appropriate treatment with water. It is important to reduce the spread of rotavirus.
