Dr. Mohammadreza Shirbafchi, a psychiatrist, is a member of the faculty of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and has a fellowship in psycho-physical medicine and psycho-oncology (psycho-oncology) from the University of Freiburg, Germany. His main interests are psychosomatics, psycho-oncology and palliative care. For the first time in 2013, Dr. Shirbafchi opened a psycho-oncology clinic at Omid Hospital in Isfahan. He is also the technical deputy of Iran Cancer Control Center (MAXA), which is the largest charity and non-governmental organization providing support and palliative services to cancer patients.
