Anal cancer is a type of cancer that affects the tissues inside and around engages anal. It usually starts in cells called squamous cells that are found on the surface of the skin. The main symptoms of anal cancer include painor discomfort in the anal area, bleeding from the anus and changes in bowel habits.
Risk factors for anal cancer include: being infected with certain strains of Human papillomavirus (HPV), having weak immune system and having anal sex. Anal cancer can follow Anal warts may develop.
Anal cancer treatment options may include Surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy or a combination of these methods. Early diagnosis and treatment can improve outcomes for people with this disease.
