The key to designing the treatment path is rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

In the modern physical therapy world, accurate understanding of body posture is no longer limited to traditional judgments of "good" or "bad". Instead, posture is considered as a starting point for designing a personalized treatment pathway. Investigating the type of body posture can play a central role in diagnosing the pattern of movement disorders and determining treatment strategies.

Body condition and biomechanical pain

Biomechanical pains are often caused by a disturbance in the balance between active and inactive muscles of the body. In this context, two main patterns can be defined:

  1. Overactive muscles:

These muscles usually operate in a narrow and preferred range of motion. This work causes constant pressure, fatigue and a reduction in their regeneration capacity.

  1. Underactive muscles:

These muscles delegate their responsibilities to adjacent muscles or structures, leading to overload and pain in non-target areas.

The influence of body position in these two patterns

The type of physical condition of the person determines which of the above patterns is dominant in the body:

Hyperkypholordosis condition:

In this type of condition, which is characterized by increased spinal arches, postural muscles tend to become inactive. This puts an additional burden on other structures such as joints, ligaments, and accessory muscles. In this situation, the physiotherapist should focus on activating the core muscles and improving muscle control.

Military Posture:

In this state, which is associated with excessive stretching of the trunk and shoulders back, the postural muscles tend to be overactive. This condition leads to muscle stiffness, chronic pain and reduced flexibility. The treatment solution in this case is to reduce the pressure and allow the muscles to work in different ranges of motion.

Reviewing the concept of "Good posture"

In the past, "good" posture was defined as being close to the anatomical ideal. But today it is clear that what is important is the suitability of the position with functional needs, muscle strength and individual characteristics. In other words, physical condition is not only an appearance criterion, but also a functional criterion for choosing the path of rehabilitation.

Conclusion

For physiotherapists, posture analysis is a powerful diagnostic tool. This analysis helps to determine whether we need to increase muscle tension (in conditions of underwork) or decrease pressure and tension (in conditions of overactivity). Therefore, the choice of the rehabilitation approach should not be based on the appearance of the condition, but should be based on its functional and biomechanical analysis.

At the Tovan Novin Physiotherapy Clinic under the supervision of specialist physiotherapist Noushin Alvandian, you can go for a correct diagnosis and detailed treatment and rehabilitation planning and use modern physiotherapy treatment. href="tel://02122745914">22745914 or message to WhatsApp: 09199279085
