1- Calyx fracture or fracture in the wrist that occurs at the end of the bones of the forearm, i.e. the ulna, especially in middle-aged and elderly people. Generally, it happens due to a fall when the hand rests on the body or an impact. Its two primary treatment methods: 1- Quick installation and plastering 2- Placement and pinning, which is decided by the surgeon depending on the amount of bone displacement. 2- Fractures of the small bones of the wrist Such as the pea bone or the scaphoid and lunitis, which are very common in young people, especially professional athletes who use their hands, such as Indian ballistas or martial arts. Generally, it takes a week to make a 100% diagnosis and both bones are pinned. 3- Fractures of the long bones of the palm are sometimes seen as a result of direct impact or motorcyclist accidents. Generally, a long nail is placed and removed after two to three weeks. 3- Knuckle bone fractures that occur due to direct impact and sometimes in fights and falls. which begins with pinning and bracing for three weeks of primary treatment. After the initial important part of all types of fractures, the surgeon decides that it needs a simple placement with a plaster or cast, or that the patient's fracture needs an internal fixator. The second and important part is physiotherapy treatment for fractures, which can play a key role in many cases in this field: 1. Accelerating the process of bone fusion 2. Control of swelling in the area 3. Healing the wound caused by the operation 4. Accelerating the launch of the member in order to obtain the range of motion of the joints 5. Increasing muscle strength and returning the patient to previous activities 6. Control of osteoporosis in the area Important point in hand fracture: It should be noted that one of the common complications following a fracture in the hand is that the patient is affected by the disease (RSD), which is very painful and causes pain and movement limitation in the adjacent joints, elbow and shoulder, and on the other hand, osteoporosis is also seen in the affected area. Going to physiotherapy as soon as possible and starting the permitted and timely movements can prevent these complications. ### Time to refer to physiotherapy for hand fracture: From the second week, the patient should go to the center, even with a cast and a plaster or a pin, and a physiotherapist who specializes in this field will help teach the patient the necessary movements in an active manner. And if there is a need to control the person, start the organ faster, help to weld the hand bone quickly, it will definitely start by considering the parameters. ### Delay in physiotherapy: Unfortunately, many patients delay in going to physiotherapy after fractures, and sometimes this delay is due to the surgeons' failure to refer the patient to physiotherapy, and this leaves a complication for the patient, one of the common cases of which is: - Having RSD - Dry joints of the wrists or fingers - Persistent pain and swelling - Deformation and deformation of the broken limb - Osteoporosis - Weakening and disability of the member Good physiotherapy after fractures What is important is the physiotherapy clinic and physiotherapist we choose **The clinic should be equipped with modern equipment:** Magnets, TEKAR, high-power and low-power lasers, paraffin and stimulators, especially Faradic current. **More important than this**: The therapeutic exercise section and special equipment for performing manual exercises, the subject of mechanotherapy and exercise is very important for this patient and the physiotherapist must have special expertise in this field, when and how to use the devices and at what time and stage which exercise and exercise is useful for the patient. **Finally, it should be said**: The patient's cooperation in doing exercises and sports at home is very important according to the physiotherapist in the process of recovery and prevention of hand fracture complications.
