Cervarix is a vaccine used to prevent cervical cancer caused by certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV). This vaccine is injected in three doses and works by stimulating the body's immune system to produce antibodies against HPV. Cervarix treats the two most common types of HPV that cause href="https://gynecologist.top/%D8%B2%DA%AF%DB%8C%D9%84-%D8%AA%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%84%DB% 8C-%D9%88-%D8%B3%D8%B1%D8%B7%D8%A7%D9%86-%D8%AF%D9%87%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%87-%D8%B1%D8%AD%D9%85" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cervical cancer means it targets types 16 and 18.
These two types are responsible for about 70% of all cervical cancer cases worldwide. This vaccine is recommended for girls and women between the ages of 9 and 45. It can also be injected into boys and men to help prevent genital warts caused by some types of HPV.
Cervarix has been shown to be safe and effective, but like all vaccines, it may cause side effects such as pain at the injection site, headache, fatigue, and fever. It is important to talk to Dr. Diana Hosseini about whether Cervarix is right for you or your child. :
