These methods can reduce pain and inflammation and improve shoulder movement.
C: local injections
- Steroid injection into the shoulder joint to reduce inflammation and relieve pain.

More advanced treatments
- Manipulation under anesthesia
The doctor moves the shoulder while the patient is unconscious to restore range of motion.
- Expansion of joint capsule
Injecting fluids into the joint to expand it and reduce stiffness.
Surgery (in severe cases)
If non-surgical treatments are not effective, surgery may be recommended to release the attached tissues and increase shoulder range of motion. Usually, this surgery is performed by arthroscopic method.
Lifestyle changes
It is better to take advice from a physiotherapist than to change your lifestyle, including regular and daily shoulder exercises to prevent more stiffness and avoid heavy activities that aggravate shoulder damage.
Patience and follow-up in treatment
In frozen shoulder, the pain usually improves on its own, but this process may take 1 to 3 years. Continuous follow-up with the doctor and continuation of physiotherapy treatments are very important. Because due to the long time of spontaneous recovery, movement limitation and muscle tendon weakness and even the risk of shoulder tendon rupture will increase. .
If the pain or limitation of shoulder movement is severe, be sure to see an orthopedic doctor or a physiotherapist.
