Changing perspective on attention deficit-hyperactivity/impulsivity-ADHD
If we change our perspective and adopt a new attitude, we consider the set of characteristics of attention deficit - hyperactivity / impulsivity - ADHD as a blessing, not a disorder. This change of attitude helps both the child and the parents and teachers.
Isn't it a blessing to have more energy?
Don't you wish to have more energy?
Often children who have more energy than their peers are labeled "hyperactivity or ADHD". What is called ADHD can be called vitality. A characteristic based on which the child is very curious about the world around him due to his high energy and interest. Hamad's characteristic is a lot of energy, humor, enthusiasm. Is it just because it is not in harmony with people and their environment? Do we refer to it as a disorder? If you are a parent of a child with these characteristics, you know that these children draw a lot of energy from their parents, coaches and teachers. Have we thought that maybe parents and teachers don't have enough energy to challenge these children! The purpose of this article is to change our attitude towards this issue so that we can consider having a lot of energy as a blessing and not a disorder.
Do you agree that a hyperactive child is more energetic than you and children of the same age? Does the pattern of inattention hyperactivity cause him to be more active and more curious? Isn't it better instead of suppressing this curiosity, instead of threatening the active child knowing the value of this gift, channelize it and direct it in the right direction?
In the sense of helping him keep a lot of energy inside himself first. Restrain sudden impulses. Then find ways to direct his great energy.
Getting the ADHD label
The reason for being labeled attention deficit disorder - hyperactivity / impulsivity - ADHD is that we cannot direct this much energy with the support of the child's thoughts and mind towards useful goals, so we allow this energy to be spent on the child's undefined impulses and interests. and cannot focus on a specific goal.
If you know and accept that a child's high energy is very valuable; You can help him control this energy by investing in it and take the reins of energy. And don't let his desires pull him in any direction.
Hyperactive children are constantly in motion. We can monitor this inner energy so that it is less likely to pull the child in any direction and make him captive to stimulating emotions. By providing solutions to parents and teachers, it prevents the child from wasting a lot of energy. We can offer methods to lower the child's internal motor speed. continues.
