Tooth extraction (Root Canal) is a treatment during which infectious materials and nerves in the pulp of the tooth are removed so that the tooth is safe from damage by microbes in the future. Following caries, tooth structures such as enamel and dentin change their nature and disappear, and the need for denervation treatment is gradually seen in these conditions. The root canal and the space inside it have cavities that naturally accommodate nerve tissues and blood vessels and other cellular tissues. If the tooth decay is not treated in the early stages and the decay passes through the enamel and spreads to the dentin, it can then spread to the pulp space. The entry of microbes into the dental pulp causes inflammation in the pulp and this inflammation increases the volume of the pulp. Considering that the dental pulp is a closed chamber, inflammation causes a sharp increase in its internal pressure. This increase in pressure leads to pressure on the nerve endings of the tooth and tooth pain begins. Symptoms of root inflammation - The onset and continuation of toothache when drinking hot and cold liquids - Spontaneous toothache without stimulation - Pain due to chewing or biting - Decay or lesion and abscess at the end of the root - Discharge of pus or swelling How is tooth extraction? The dentist goes through various steps for **dental denervation** from the beginning to the end. Usually, the denervation process has four stages and may take up to three sessions. We are going to explain these steps to you step by step. At first, the patient must be visited by a dentist, after passing this step, the doctor will determine how many steps the patient's tooth needs to be completely denervated. When the patient is visited by the doctor, sometimes it is not necessary for the client to extract the tooth and the doctor can solve the patient's problem with a superficial treatment. But sometimes the doctor becomes suspicious and it is necessary to use X-rays for confirmation. X-rays show exactly where the tooth is decayed. The next step is the diagnosis of the need for denervation of the patient's local anesthesia. This anesthesia is done by a thin syringe, which is very little painful and resembles the sting of a small bee. Then he separates the tooth with an aluminum sheet so that it does not get wet and contaminated during the treatment. The next step is pulpectomy, which means that a hole is made with a small drill on the patient's tooth to access the infected area and the pulp is removed, and the infected area is cleaned and disinfected so that bacteria cannot grow inside. After the above steps, it is time to fill the tooth. When the doctor tries to remove the infected pallet, their place remains empty inside the tooth. The dentist uses a substance called gutta-percha to fill this gap. All these steps will be painless. After a few sessions, it is time to apply the permanent dental crown. This crown or similar is placed on the upper part of the tooth The duration of the dental denervation treatment In response to the question of how long tooth extraction and dental nerve surgery take, it should be said that the treatment of tooth extraction of most teeth can be completed in one session. The treatment of some teeth may require two sessions and a few may even require more than two sessions. If the root canal treatment is done correctly and in principle, and the canal cavity is filled with filling material with the correct working length, and the ideal hygienic conditions are observed for this process, the probability of root canal treatment success in the long term is very high. However, some treatments may fail even though complete treatment has been performed. In these cases, retreatment or surgery may be the solution to this problem. Endodontic surgery solves the problems caused by the end of the root. After the root canal treatment and as the anesthesia wears off, there will likely be transient pain for a few days that can be controlled with pain medication. After the root treatment, the crown of the tooth needs to be filled. It is mandatory to take radiographs during root canal and nerve extraction procedures. Why is re-nervation needed? It is possible that some treatments may fail in the future, even though the root canal has been treated. In these cases, sometimes there may be a need for re-root treatment, sometimes there is a need for surgery at the end of the root. Retreatment is usually done to treat a lesion that has persistent signs and symptoms. Even if there is no lesion, this may be done in order to prevent its creation in the future. Persistent lesions require treatment even if there are no symptoms. If the treatment plan to preserve the tooth has a lesion, the possibility of re-rooting treatment or surgery is considered. Re-treatment is more time-consuming and infections inside the root canal are best removed by re-treatment, but in some cases, after re-treatment of the root or re-nervation, there may be a need for surgical treatment or root cutting. After root canal treatment, your tooth may need a post or veneer according to the dentist's recommendation. Your doctor washes the tooth during the canal and nerve sessions and controls the infections and bacteria by washing and placing medicine that soothes the root inflammation inside the cavity, and then after the roots are completely cleaned, they are filled and then the crown is reconstructed or repaired. After root canal treatment and when the numbness wears off, you will probably have pain for a few days. Of course, the amount of pain and recovery conditions of different teeth are different from each other, but the general principles are that after root canal treatment or nerve extraction, pain and swelling are normal for up to 72 hours, but this pain can be controlled with painkillers. When is tooth extraction necessary? When the inner part, i.e. the pulp, starts to get inflamed, it is necessary to de-nerve the tooth in order to destroy the infected pulp and prevent the damage of the entire tooth. Dental nerve infection has various reasons such as: - Decay due to cavities that have been created on the surface of the tooth over time. - When a tooth is cracked. - Sometimes the tooth may be hit hard. Usually, infected pulp shows itself when a person starts eating, usually when eating hot food or hot water. At this time, the person should go to the dentist immediately to prevent the damage of the whole tooth, and the doctor will first examine the person and confirm it by X-ray. Nerve removal specialist He is a dentist who specializes in endodontics and has gained enough experience in the field of pulp and tooth canal work. According to his experience and skill, the dental hygienist offers various services to patients, some of the most important of which are: - Specialized root canal treatment - Removal of abscess and tooth infection - Treatment of damaged and broken teeth - Evacuation of infected tissue from dental pulp - Denervation of decayed teeth - Root canal treatment - Endodontic surgery **Short link:** https://drnegarmir.com/?p=9222
