### displacement of large vessels In babies with transposition of the great vessels, the pulmonary and aortic valves have changed position with their arteries. This condition leads to the transfer of blood with low oxygen through the aorta to the rest of the body. This blood should actually go to the lungs through the pulmonary artery. ### tricuspid or tricuspid valve atresia In this defect, the tricuspid valve of the heart is abnormally enlarged or completely lost. This disrupts the normal flow of blood. As a result, blood with low oxygen is transferred to the body. ### Completely abnormal connection of pulmonary veins This condition occurs when the veins that carry oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the heart become attached to the right atrium. Normally, these veins should be connected to the left atrium. This defect may be associated with the blockage of these veins between the lungs and the heart.
Cardiac cyanosis symptoms in children
It often occurs on the lips, toes, or fingers. Another common symptom is difficulty in breathing, especially after physical activity. In some children, oxygen levels may drop too low. As a result, they become anxious, their skin turns blue, and they may breathe excessively. Other symptoms of cyanotic congenital heart disease depend exactly on the physical defect, which is given below.

Cyanotic congenital heart disease diagnosis
Observing symptoms is not enough for diagnosis. To detect the presence of any defect, the child's doctor uses tests to confirm the diagnosis. An X-ray chest X-ray shows the heart and the location of the veins and arteries. To get another picture of the heart, your child's doctor may recommend an echocardiogram. Cardiac catheterization is an invasive test that is often required to examine the interior of the heart. This test involves passing a small tube or catheter into the heart from the groin or arm.
Treatment of cyanotic congenital heart disease
