In the 16th week of pregnancy, you are four weeks away from the halfway point.... You will also soon enter one of the most exciting parts of pregnancy.... These are the days when you will feel the movement of the fetus.

Many women can hardly recognize the sensation they feel in their stomach, the movement of the baby or gas in the stomach or something else... But very soon a certain pattern is formed and you recognize the movement of the baby.

Body changes in the sixteenth week of pregnancy

Sometimes, the second trimester of pregnancy is called the "honeymoon of pregnancy". During this period, you will sleep more comfortably and peacefully than you did a few weeks ago... You should also get used to sleeping on your side.

The doctor may recommend that you no longer sleep on your back....that means you should use more pillows to support your body....There are different types of pregnancy pillows on the market that will help you sleep more easily or feel more comfortable while resting.

The more sleep you get, the more energy you'll have during the day....your mood will also improve, but don't be surprised if you have mood swings every now and then....on the other hand, wearing maternity clothes will make you miss your old clothes.

Fetus

More activity is only part of the change in the condition of the fetus in the 16th week of pregnancy.... At this stage, the circulatory and urinary system of the fetus develops.

Also, the baby's head looks more "natural" because the eyes and ears are in their proper place on the head. The fetus's head moves up more and does not bend forward like in the first months.

Fetal legs also grow quickly.... If the baby is a girl, thousands of eggs are formed in her ovary.

At this stage, the size of the fetus is measured from head to toe, which is called the length of the fetus from head to bottom.... The height of most babies in the sixteenth week of pregnancy is 11 cm, and their weight is about one kilogram.... It is almost the size of an avocado.... In the next stage, the growth of the fetus happens quickly.

Fetal movement in the sixteenth week of pregnancy

Have you not noticed the movement of the fetus yet?... Some women notice the movement of the fetus from the 16th week, but women who are mothers for the first time do not feel the movement of the fetus until a few weeks later.

Fetal movements, also called fetal movement, show that the fetus is flexing its growing muscles.. Over time, these small movements and kicks turn into rolling and kicking..

Symptoms of the 16th week of pregnancy

Many women experience nausea at this time... In addition, you may be a bit forgetful or have trouble concentrating this week.

Although most of the symptoms in the 16th week (such as breast tenderness) are no different from the previous week, below are the symptoms that are expected to continue this week:

  • Lightening of the skin (due to increased blood flow)
  • Glossy and shiny skin (due to hormones)
  • Constipation
  • Heartburn
  • Nosebleed
  • Congestion
  • Weight gain
  • Possibility Hemorrhoid
  • Distraction
  • Disturbance in concentration

If you feel like you can't cope, talk to your doctor or a friend who may have experienced similar symptoms during pregnancy.

Pregnancy glow

Increasing blood flow in the body makes the skin look brighter....increasing the activity of hormones also makes the skin more shiny and oily.

This condition is sometimes called a "pregnancy glow," but you may not see these changes as positive... If your skin is too oily, use an oil-free face wash.

Constipation

If you are constipated, eat foods rich in fiber (such as dried and fresh fruits, vegetables, beans, almonds, bran and other grains). Be careful not to eat high-fat foods that are low in fiber (such as cheese and processed meat), because they aggravate constipation.

Heartburn

If this problem occurs, be careful of foods that aggravate heartburn.. In most cases, the reason for this is fried and spicy foods... Remember that foods that you used to enjoy eating without any problems are now forbidden during pregnancy.

If you eat a healthy diet, you will gain between 5 and 6 kg in the second trimester.... This amount varies depending on whether you were overweight or underweight before pregnancy.

nosebleed

Another change that may occur is occasional nosebleeds or bleeding gums... Nosebleeds are usually harmless and occur when too much blood flow in the body causes the capillaries in the nose to rupture.

To prevent nosebleeds:

  1. Sit and keep the head above the heart.
  2. Do not tilt your head back because it may cause you to swallow blood.
  3. Pinch your nose with two index fingers and thumb for at least five minutes.
  4. Apply ice to the nose to close the capillaries and stop the bleeding faster.
..

Congestion

Check with your doctor before taking medication for cramping, indigestion, or other side effects... Your doctor can answer your questions about what medications are safe at this time.

Remember to discuss your symptoms with your doctor during your next visit.

Things you should do this week to have a healthy pregnancy

Once the morning sickness is over, it's time to focus on healthy eating and exercise.

If you crave sweet foods, instead of chocolate and candies, go for fruit and yogurt....If you crave salty foods, eat cheese....The body and fetus will thank you for the protein and calcium in these foods.

Try to exercise for half an hour every day...swimming and walking are good...just remember to check with your doctor before starting an exercise program.

It is also better to look for beds, car seats, strollers, baby monitors and other necessary items.... Since there are so many options, and many of them affect baby safety, you'll be surprised at how much time you have to spend shopping for these items.

Time to call the doctor

If the baby is moving regularly but hasn't moved for at least 12 hours, call your OB/GYN.... You may not notice the movement, but it's always better to be cautious.

If you still haven't felt the baby move, be patient....Many women don't notice the baby moving until the 20th week or so....Although the risk of miscarriage is much lower in the second trimester than in the first trimester, you should never ignore spotting, bleeding, or severe abdominal pain.

Don't forget, if you have the experience of becoming a mother, you can share your experiences from the 16th week of pregnancy through GCORP LLC with young mothers who are doing their first pregnancy.
