36 weeks pregnant: symptoms, tips and more

You have reached your 36th week!.. Even if your pregnancy symptoms are like going to the bathroom every half hour or feeling constantly tired, try to enjoy this last month of pregnancy.... Even if you are planning to get pregnant again in the future or this is not your first pregnancy, every pregnancy is unique, so try to enjoy every moment.... Continue reading for more information on what to expect this week.

Physical changes

Do you feel that there is no more room left in the child's residence? That may be the case, but your baby will continue to grow until birth, which only the baby knows and will probably drive you crazy for not making a decision.
Whenever you feel tired of your pregnancy, just remind yourself that the baby is making the most of every moment it spends in the womb....according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, starting next week your baby will be considered full term....40 weeks is now considered full term....Try to enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy.
No doubt you're tired and worried about your big belly... Even if this isn't your first pregnancy, every pregnancy and every baby is different, so a little anxiety about the unknown is perfectly normal.... If you feel like anxiety is affecting your daily life or relationships, you should discuss it with your doctor at your next visit.

Child

The child's height at 36 weeks is about 45 cm and his weight is between 2200 and 2700 grams... Probably soon the doctor will check whether the child is ready to be born or not.
To check this, the doctor will look to see if the baby's head is lower near the cervix... Your baby should reach this position by week 36, but don't worry if your baby hasn't turned yet.. Most babies turn towards the birth canal in the last weeks of pregnancy, but 1 in 25 pregnancies is still breech or turns first...Breech birth is always risky and most of these cases result in cesarean delivery.
If the doctor suspects that the baby is breech, he will likely send you for an ultrasound to confirm.. After that, the doctor may recommend one of several methods available, such as external cephalic version (ECV) to help turn the baby down. ECV is a non-surgical procedure that is sometimes used to try to turn the baby..

Formation of twins in the thirty-sixth week

Do you feel like you've reached your maximum size?....there isn't much room left in your uterus....fetal movements may slow down this week....note any changes and discuss them with your doctor at your next visit.

Symptoms of pregnancy in the 36th week

One of the signs at 36 weeks is to watch out for contractions....these contractions could mean your baby is coming early or could just be Braxton Hicks contractions....but in general, you will likely experience many of the same symptoms you experienced in the third trimester....these include:

  • fatigue
  • Urine frequency
  • Heartburn (stomach)
  • Leakage from the breasts

Many women experience leakage from their breasts during the third trimester of pregnancy. This clear, yellow liquid called colostrum provides nutrients to your baby in the first days of life. Even if you don't plan to breastfeed, your body will still produce colostrum.
If you feel bad about leaking, use nursing pads....you should have some anyway, because you'll need them after the birth (breastfeeding or not) and there's no reason you can't use them now.
Some women add nursing pads to their baby list, but if you can't find any or don't feel comfortable using them, ask friends and family to buy them for you, nursing pads are relatively inexpensive...you can find them at most major retailers that sell baby products and they can buy them in bulk....they come in handy after the baby is born and breastfeeding.

Contractions

Sometimes babies decide to be born early, so you should be aware of contractions.... Contractions may feel like cramping or cramping like menstrual cramps... Some women also feel them in their back....your belly feels tight to the touch during contractions.
Each contraction increases in intensity and peaks and then slowly subsides....Think of it like a wave rolling onto the beach and then slowly returning to the sea....As the contractions come closer together, the peaks occur earlier and last longer.
Some women confuse Braxton Hicks contractions with Braxton Hicks contractions, sometimes called "false labor." Braxton Hicks contractions are intermittent, have no pattern, and do not increase in intensity. If you're having contractions, it's important to time them....there are many mobile software apps that make it easy to time and record contractions....you might like to download one now and familiarize yourself with it so you're ready when contractions start....you can also keep track of them the old-fashioned way, using a watch or timer (or count the seconds out loud) and a pen and paper
.. To track your contractions, start time and write down their end.. the length of time between the start of one contraction and the start of the next represents the number of contractions... take these notes with you when you go to the hospital.... if the bag of water breaks, write down the time and go to the hospital.
If you're not sure what kind of pain you should call your doctor or go to the hospital about, you should ask your doctor about them now... If you're experiencing contractions that last about a minute and occur every five minutes for at least an hour, you're probably in labor.

Actions to be taken this week to have a healthy pregnancy

Ideally, you'd probably like to have everything ready for your baby's birth in advance....however, realistically there might be a lot left on your to-do list and that's okay....you still have time.... Here are some things to focus on this week.

Choose your pediatrician

If you haven't already chosen a pediatrician for your baby, you should do so as soon as possible.... Although you probably have a few weeks until your baby is born, there are no guarantees.
Ask local friends or family members, and be sure to call your potential doctor ahead of time to set up an appointment. Not only is it easier to check in with the doctor and the office environment, but you'll probably feel less stressed now that you've checked one more item off your child's to-do list.

Prepare the birthday bag

Another thing to look into soon is packing a birthday bag.. There are tons of tips based on the experiences of moms who have already been through this..

In general, you should take things that are comfortable for you, your spouse, and your baby.... Some things you might want to take are:

  • Insurance information
  • A copy of the birth plan
  • a toothbrush
  • Deodorant
  • Comfortable pajamas and slippers
  • Things to help you relax during labor
  • book or magazine

For a baby, a car seat is a necessity... Installing a car seat can be difficult and that's the last thing you need to worry about when you're in the maternity ward.
Get a new car seat to make sure it's made according to the latest safety guidelines....Car seats are made to protect a child from a crash and then being thrown away....you can't be sure if they've been in a car accident by buying them at auction.
Dress up for bringing the baby home, but skip the frills....choose something that's easy to put on and take off....you might need a quick diaper change..... When it comes to changing diapers, you may want to have an extra set of clothes for when the baby comes off.
When choosing clothes, think about the comfort of the baby... if you are giving birth in winter, choose something that will keep the baby warm... if the weather is hot, consider lighter clothes... most of the other necessary items such as diapers should be provided by the hospital.
And don't forget your wife! When you're panting from labor, their comfort is probably far from your mind, but now is the time to show them that their comfort matters too... Consider the packaging:

  • Snacks you can save
  • Camera
  • A charger for phones and other electronic devices so your wife can text or email everyone after the baby is born
  • Headphones, for when the day or night might get longer
  • List of contacts, so your wife knows who to call or email after the baby is born
  • A jacket or warmer for your partner (hospitals can be cold)

Time to call the doctor

If you have or think you are having contractions, call your doctor or go to the hospital. If you have vaginal bleeding, fluid leakage, or severe abdominal pain, you should contact your doctor.
As your baby continues to grow, there is less room for movement... Although your baby's movements have probably slowed down somewhat, you should still feel them... If you notice a decrease in movement (less than 10 movements per hour), or if you are concerned about your baby's movements, call your doctor... Although decreased movements may not be a problem, it can also be a sign that your baby is uncomfortable... It is always better to err on the side of caution and consult your gynecologist.

You have reached 36 weeks!

You are almost at the finish line. Remember to enjoy these remaining two weeks..rest whenever you can and continue to eat healthy, balanced meals..you'll be thankful for the extra nutrients and energy when the day comes.
