By doing some special stretching exercises, you can help reduce the pain and flexibility of this part of the muscle.. This muscle is divided into three parts, upper, middle and lower, and each of these parts plays an important role in certain movements of the shoulder and neck. The cause of trapezius muscle pain This complication occurs for various reasons, some of which are as follows: - tap - Do repeated movements - Sport or physical activity - Inappropriate body position - Keeping the head forward for a long time - Holding the phone to the ear, on the shoulder - Sitting on a chair without standard or proper support - History of a specific disease in the joint - lifting or moving heavy objects with inappropriate techniques - Vitamin deficiency - Not enough sleep - carrying a shoulder bag or backpack These are among the common reasons that lead to triangular muscle pain. What are the symptoms? Trigger points lead to pain in the trapezius muscle as well as limited range of motion in this part of the muscle... You may notice pain near the trigger point or the pain may spread throughout the body. Sometimes some people feel the symptoms caused by this condition beyond the trapezius muscle and pay attention to the following: - neck limp - Headache - Ringing in the ears - Jaw pain When should you see a pain specialist? If you notice that the pain is getting worse or is affecting your daily life as well as your ability to exercise, talk to your pain doctor. Feeling pain in the neck, upper back, or shoulders prevents you from performing your job duties or working at home, as well as sleeping comfortably.. In general, the conditions that indicate the need to see a doctor are as follows: - Severe pain - Imbalance - Inability to move the neck or shoulder - Lack of stability when walking - Continuation of pain for more than a week - Unwanted weight loss - Symptoms of infection such as fever, chills and red skin - Excessive sweating - Observation of muscle tear symptoms such as depression or deformation of the trapezius muscle What is the treatment? Depending on the severity of the pain and the location of the injury, different treatment methods may be considered for you, as follows: ### acupuncture Acupuncture therapy helps relieve the pain and stiffness of the trapezius muscle. ### massage therapy Massage therapy can help increase flexibility as well as loosen tight muscles so that injury can be prevented or treated if needed. ### muscle rest If a minor strain or tear has occurred, it will improve with rest.... In these cases, it is recommended to avoid certain activities such as bending, lifting the arms or shoulders. Also, you should drink enough water to keep your muscles fully hydrated. ### Surgery If a severe tear has occurred, you may need surgery to repair it.... Your doctor will try to treat the injury with non-surgical methods.... If the patient's condition is so acute that it does not improve with primary treatment methods, surgery is considered for him. How do I keep the trapezius muscles healthy? To strengthen this muscle and prevent possible damage and pain of the trapezius muscle, pay attention to these things: ### Exercise and keep your body flexible You can help improve your range of motion by doing lots of stretching exercises. Pilates, yoga, and other light and gentle exercises will help keep your muscles flexible and strong. Despite the benefits of exercise, it should not be overdone.. If you feel pain, stop your activity immediately. ### Maintaining a healthy weight Extra weight increases the possibility of muscle strain... You should consult your doctor about your normal weight. ### Warming up the body before exercise Consider time for warm-up and stretching exercises... By warming up the body, the possibility of injury is minimized.
