Back pain treatment with lumbar disc endoscopy and spinal cord stimulation device or SCS battery is one of the effective and innovative treatment methods. Back pain is one of the common problems that most people have experienced.
Usually, when we feel pain in the back, we try to treat it with home methods, which we succeed in most of the times.
But some pains are so serious that they definitely need treatment by a doctor so that the situation does not worsen for you.

How is back pain treatment with lumbar disc endoscopy?
As we said, one of the treatment methods that is performed depending on the patient's condition is lumbar disc endoscopy. When the patient does not improve with the first line of treatment, i.e. with the use of drugs and non-invasive treatment solutions, finally, semi-invasive and effective closed surgery is considered for him.
The process of this surgery from the beginning is that the patient is under local anesthesia or general anesthesia depending on his condition.
Since this surgery is performed in a closed manner, the doctor makes only a few very small incisions so that it is possible to enter the endoscope and other instruments for the operation.
The doctor is well aware of the operation process by observing the monitor and observes the internal part of the body in this way. Next, any problem that caused the symptoms and pressure on the nerve will be solved.
After finishing the treatment process, the endoscope will be removed and the incision will be closed. Since this operation does not require a wide incision unlike open surgery, the complications are much less and the recovery process after the treatment will be faster.
What diseases can be treated with lumbar disc endoscopy?
Fortunately, many chronic diseases that could not be treated with non-surgical methods can be treated with the help of lumbar disc endoscopy, some of which are as follows:

Treatment of back pain with SCS spinal cord stimulation device
This new treatment method is another effective treatment method used by a pain specialist to relieve chronic pain. There is a point that this method is used only when other non-surgical methods do not work for the patient.
In most cases, this treatment method is used for people who suffer from back pain, especially due to failed back surgery syndrome.
The treatment process is done in two stages for patients, the first stage is experimental and if the first stage has successful results, the second stage is done.
To begin, the treatment site will be numbed and several wires will be inserted into the patient's body through the epidural needle in the spinal cord or epidural space.
The electrodes placed at the end of the wire or cable stop the pain signals with the waves it produces. The feedback that the patient has during the trial phase helps the doctor to know what action to take for permanent implantation.
Generally, the wire is connected to an external stimulator to find out if this treatment method is effective for the patient.
Finally, if it has an acceptable efficiency for the patient, then the wires are permanently placed in the epidural space with the help of an epidural needle.
Also, a small incision is made so that the battery is permanently placed under the skin and finally the wire will be connected to the battery.
Everything is controlled by the patient and he can turn the battery on or off as needed using the device given to him.
