How is a mild stroke?.. A stroke is caused by a lack of blood supply to the brain.. In a stroke, a blood clot gets stuck in one of the cerebral vessels and prevents blood supply to the brain.. In a mild stroke, this clot disappears after some time and blood supply to the brain returns, and as a result, the person does not have a neurological defect.. While in a permanent stroke (in its common sense), this clot does not disappear and the symptoms and neurological defects remain in the patient for life. Mild stroke symptoms Stroke is an extremely acute process and its symptoms appear completely suddenly.. In other words, the person is fine, but within a few seconds to a few minutes, the symptoms of a stroke appear in the person's body and progress. Depending on which part of the brain the stroke occurred, its symptoms will be different. Some of the symptoms of a stroke are: - **Paralysis and muscle weakness**: Paralysis and muscle weakness can have different patterns, but most people experience paralysis or weakness on one side of the body.. Paralysis of half of the body is called hemiplegia... - ** Numbness (paresthesia):** It is usually possible to feel numbness, numbness, numbness, numbness, numbness, numbness, or numbness in different parts of the body. to affect.. one half of the body. - **Speech disorder:** These patients may lose their ability to speak or not speak fluently as before. Other symptoms such as vision, hearing, balance and cognitive impairments may also occur to a person... Following a stroke, a person may lose consciousness... although this is not a common occurrence.... Headache in stroke is not a common occurrence and is seen in less than 20% of patients. It should be noted that the symptoms mentioned above are general symptoms of a stroke and these symptoms remain in most patients, but in a mild stroke, these symptoms disappear completely within a few minutes (at least 24 hours) and do not leave a disorder or defect for the person. ### **Mild stroke symptoms in women** Stroke causes similar symptoms in men and women, and the symptoms in women are no different from what was said before. ### **Mild stroke symptoms in young people** Symptoms of stroke in young people are not much different from the general symptoms mentioned above. Unfortunately, due to lifestyle changes such as consumption of fatty foods, diabetes epidemic, inactivity, smoking, etc., the prevalence of stroke in young people is increasing. ### **Symptoms of a mild stroke in the elderly** Symptoms in the elderly are no different from other age groups.. But unfortunately, the symptoms of a mild stroke are more likely to remain in the elderly than in young people.. Also, the elderly who have experienced a mild stroke once are at a greater risk of having a permanent stroke in the future. ### **symptoms of mild stroke in sleep** We said that the symptoms of a mild stroke are: paralysis and muscle weakness, numbness and speech disorder.. It develops and resolves within a few minutes.. Therefore, a person may have a mild stroke while sleeping, but the symptoms disappear in the same sleep and the person does not notice the TIA episode at all. Wake up and disappear. What people are at risk of stroke? There are a number of risk factors associated with stroke. - **Blood pressure:** People with high blood pressure are at risk of rupture of cerebral vessels and clot formation.. One of the symptoms of high blood pressure is back pain. - **Smoking:** Smoking makes a person suffer from high blood pressure and can increase the risk of stroke. - **Dyslipidemia:** When the blood fat is high, part of this fat is deposited in the inner wall of the vessels and partially blocks the blood flow. This disease is called arteriosclerosis. - **Diabetes:** Diabetes can increase the risk of stroke by causing high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries. - **Inactivity:** Inactivity and lack of exercise leads to obesity and blood lipid disorders and increases the risk of stroke. - **Improper diet:** People who eat a lot of fatty foods are more at risk of stroke. - **High use of oral contraceptive pills (OCP):** Estrogen in these pills increases the possibility of clot formation. - **Blow to the head:** People who get a head blow may experience cerebral hemorrhage....by causing bleeding, the blood supply to the brain is disturbed and the person may have a stroke....Also, brain tumor surgery such as pituitary can increase the risk of tumor also increase.. Can a mild stroke be treated? As mentioned, a mild stroke resolves on its own and the patient's symptoms completely resolve and leave no disability. What should be done after a mild stroke? Naturally, until the patient's symptoms are completely resolved, we do not know whether the patient's stroke is temporary or permanent. For stroke treatment, the drug rtPA or Reteplase is used.... This drug destroys the clot that causes a stroke and relieves the patient's symptoms.... This drug is the first line of stroke treatment, but in some cases it should not be used.. Such as: - When four and a half hours have passed since the stroke. - When the patient uses anticoagulant drugs such as warfarin and rivaroxaban. - When the patient's stroke is hemorrhagic (bleeding). - active bleeding (except menstrual bleeding) In these cases, the embolectomy method can be used, which is one of the most widely used methods in neurology and neurosurgery.... In this method, a tube is inserted into the artery of the patient's thigh or arm (like in angiography) and it is brought to the brain vessels and the clot is removed. Also, if the patient does not have the conditions to receive any of the above procedures, anticoagulants such as heparin and enoxaparin can be used. It should be noted that if the patient's symptoms are completely resolved by visiting the hospital, there is no need to perform the measures mentioned above. Complications after a mild stroke As it was said, a mild stroke completely resolves and does not leave a disorder for the person....Many of those who have a permanent stroke will have epileptic disease in the future, but there is no such risk in a mild stroke....The patient may feel numbness and fatigue for two to three days, which also completely resolves. A patient who has had a mild stroke is more at risk of having a stroke in the future. This risk is higher in the first month than at any other time. Therefore, the patient should avoid certain activities such as driving during this period. Treatment of mild stroke It was explained about the general principles of treatment and care for stroke patients.... When it is determined that the patient's stroke is transient, there is no need for special treatment and we only use a series of drugs to prevent another stroke... such as: Anticoagulants such as aspirin or warfarin - Cholesterol-lowering drugs (statins) such as: Atorvastatin
