**Breast Cancer** ============== Like other cancers, breast cancer starts from a single cell. Breast cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the breast tissue. Being a woman is the most important risk factor for breast cancer. Although men also get this cancer, the probability of it in women is more than 100 times. Other symptoms of breast cancer can be a lump in the breast, a change in the shape of the breast, dimpling of the skin, discharge from the nipple, or peeling of the skin. In people whose disease has spread to other organs, these symptoms can include bone pain, swollen lymph nodes, shortness of breath, or jaundice. These cells usually infect the milk duct at first (80% of the cases) and quickly grow and multiply and attack the nearby tissues and organs. Then, in the absence of timely diagnosis and proper medical care, cancer spreads to other parts of the body through blood and lymph. #### **risk factors** **Age:** The probability of this cancer increases with age. 1- Personal and family history 2- Premature menstruation and late menopause 3- Not having a history of pregnancy before the age of thirty 4- History of other cancers, radiation therapy 5- History of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) 6- Improper diet and inactivity 7- Smoking and alcohol 8- Genetic mutation 9- All women are at risk of breast cancer. 10- The risk of getting this cancer increases with age. 11- About 50% of breast cancers are seen in women aged 65 and older. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women, after skin cancer and lung cancer, this cancer causes death more than all cancers, most breast cancers are visible in the early stages. #### **Care to be taken** **under the age of 40:** Check yourself once a month. Be examined by a doctor every three years. **Age 50 or older:** Check yourself once a month. be examined by a doctor once a year.
