Babies' drooling is a natural phenomenon and can help their growth.... some babies in this stage more and some less... ### 1 to 3 months old Usually babies don't drool between 1 and 3 months... In fact, this will be rare for 1 to 3 month old babies, because they always sleep facing up... So drooling is not observed at this age... But by the end of the third month you can see signs of drooling in babies... ### 2 to 6 months Babies between 2 and 6 months have their drooling under control... but if they put a toy in their mouth or start moaning, the amount of drooling increases.... This is the period of teething age, so babies drool more... ### 3 to 9 months One of the main factors and triggers for drooling in babies is teething.... Babies at this age are still teething.... so their drooling continues.... on the other hand, a 3 to 9 month old baby has just learned to roll over and crawl.... these activities can increase his drooling... ### 4 to 15 months Babies at this age walk and run little by little... most of them do not encounter drooling while running or walking... but if they want to do something with high precision and concentration, they may experience drooling... ### 5 to 18 months An 18-month-old baby does not drool while doing various activities that involve his body parts... but he may drool while eating or dressing... ### 6 to 24 months An adult baby who has now turned into a young child can swallow properly like an adult... That's why the baby's drooling at this age is minimal and can be said to be almost non-existent... When is the baby's drooling abnormal?.. When your baby has passed the normal age of drooling, but there is still involuntary salivation, it should be seriously checked.... In this case, the baby's drooling is excessive and it is called abnormal.... Babies after 24 months of age They don't naturally salivate.... If you still encounter this phenomenon after 2 years of age, be sure to see a pediatrician... Most doctors believe that excessive drooling in a baby is caused by excessive salivation, but in general, the main reason can be considered the lack of coordination between the mouth and the mouth. Baby drooling while sleeping is nothing to worry about.... During the day, your body secretes saliva constantly and you can swallow it when you are awake.... But when you sleep, even though the flow of saliva production decreases, it still accumulates in the form of drool.... Since the facial muscles relax during sleep, your baby's drooling may increase. Most children in this condition suddenly wake up crying.... Some toddlers cannot make a sound because their throat is blocked by saliva.... **P wrote:** This general information is a limited summary of diagnostic, therapeutic and/or drug information..
